A controversial art studio that raised eyebrows in Jefferson Park with concerts, body painting and "interactive'' art has given up its fight to stay open.

The artists of "Charybdis'' have cleared out of their Milwaukee Avenue digs.Owner Gregor "Mortis'' Tarto paid a $625 fine for doing more at his studio than his business license allowed.

Tatro said he will look at Uptown or Logan Square for a new home for the studio.
